Tweak of App Center Displays Your Favorite & Recently Used Apps

App Switcher is a great feature of iOS to quickly switch between your recently used apps. But what if you wanted to have a quick access to your favorite apps?

This is where a new jailbreak tweak called App Center comes in to save the day.

App Center is an interesting tweak that adds a new page to Control Center to display up to 9 of your recently used apps. When you install the tweak, open Control Center and swipe all the way to the right until you reach the third page. This is where all your recently used apps will be displayed.

You can tap on any one of the apps to open it right within Control Center, in a separate page. This is a pretty cool feature that I like the most about App Center. You can view and interact with that app right from Control Center as well as keep it there forever.

If you wish to open an app normally (e.g in full-screen), then you can simply tap and hold on it. App icons that have a white background means that they are open in a separate Control Center page. You don’t want to keep many apps open like this as they consume more RAM and battery.

Apart from displaying your recently used apps, you can also add your favorite apps. Simply tap on the search icon in the top right corner of App Center, search for your favorite app, and add it to Control Center.

The tweak also comes with a preferences pane in Settings where you can enable or disable it on demand as well as adjust the size of the windowed apps in Control Center.

App Center is a pretty awesome tweak with a new concept that hasn’t been seen before. It works very smoothly without any issues and feels as if it’s a native feature of iOS, which I wish it was.

If you're in to give this tweak a try, it is available for $3.99 in Cydia's BigBoss repo.
