A jailbreak team that is called XigTeam from ShangHai China currently claimed that they have already made a jailbreak tool for iPhone7 and iPhone7 Plus running on iOS 10.2.x-10.3.3. Besides, they indicated that they will release this tool on the data of 13th, September when the final iOS 11 firmware is unveiled. Could it be true? Let’s have a discussion together from the following four aspects.
We have very little information about XigTeam. From XigTeam’s Twitter account we can easily know that they registered this account on September 2 and they didn’t tweak any jailbreak news in the past. After that, they tweaked a series of posts about jailbreak. For instance, they said they now are busing with the iOS 10.3.x jailbreak tool, they would have a cooperation with 5iStore, the jailbreak tool would be released on September 13 due to some unknown reasons, this jailbreak tool only supports iPhone 7 running on iOS 10.2.1/10.3/10.3.1/10.3.2/10.3.3 and for iPhone7 or iPhone 7 plus users, you’re not suggested to directly upgrade iDevice from iOS 10 and etc.. According to the info above there are still a few questionable points about XigTeam.
Questionable point 1: No more info about XigTeam
XigTeam is suddenly showed up without more info about their web and team player. Then they began to post the jailbreak tool and jailbreak photo, and they claimed that their jailbreak tool is an untethered jailbreak. Compare with the previous jailbreak tool, the previous jailbreak tools will only let us know what iDevices could be supported.
Questionable point 2: Rush for sponsorship
According to one of the XigTeam’s tweaks, they will have a cooperation with 5iStore, but we can’t find more detailed info about 5iStore either. We may be permitted to doubt this.
Questionable point 3: Show their jailbreak achievement
Their sponsor 5 iStore claimed that they have used XigTeam’s jailbreak tool and jailbroken an iPhone 7 running on iOS 10.3.2 successfully. If they have jailbroken successfully, why not show us the photos from different angles?
Questionable point 4: Co-developer NullN1nja
NullN1nija is an unknown developer, he registered Twitter account in July and he posted a few tweaks on Twitter. Then he suddenly claimed his working relationship with XigTeam with a jailbreak tool photo on Twitter.
3uTools has no idea if XigTeam will release a jailbreak tool, what’s your opinion? You may leave your comment under this post.
